Description:
Limited edition bronze sculpture, 7 1/2" x 3" x 2", with two engraved brass
plaques. The sculpture memorializes Roy Benavidez and his comrades. A
plaque lists all friendly forces killed in the action. In honor of the
240th Assault Helicopter Company only 240 numbered sculptures will be cast
(note below).
This
miniature memorial sculpture of Roy Benavidez grew from a one of a kind
sculpture that was created for the Alamo Silver Wings Airborne Association
as a gift to the new ship USNS Benavidez and presented at the christening of
the ship named for Roy Benavidez.
Donation:
Twenty percent of the price will be donated by the
sculptor to the Roy P. Benavidez Memorial Fund of Valor Remembered
Foundation.
