Valor Remembered Foundation, Employer Identification Number 04-3670011,  is a not for profit corporation incorporated in Texas on May 2, 2002.  The foundation has an independent board of directors and no membership.  The foundation is publicly funded and has been granted a tax exempt status under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)(3).   The advance ruling period began on May 2, 2002 and will end on December 31, 2006.

Tax Exemption Determination Letters - Letters from IRS and the Texas Comptroller of Accounts attesting to the tax exempt status of the Foundation.  This is a large file and may load slowly on dial up modem connections.

Form 1023 - Application for Tax Exemption - The application defines the specific mission and planned operations of Valor Remembered upon which the Tax Exemption Determination Letter from IRS is based.

1.  Click on the Adobe Acrobat Reader button if you need to download the free PDF reader from Adobe 

2.  If your have the PDF reader installed, but just get it icon indicating "file not available" (a small rectangle with an x in it) when you click on the links above, you may need to properly configure your Adobe viewer.   The following are some troubleshooting tips that may work for you.   Additional assistance is available from the Adobe Systems website

Windows Plug-In.  Some users of the Windows version of the Reader “plug-in” have trouble viewing PDF documents online (getting blank screens, for example). These tips may help, and the Adobe Systems website may have more tips for configuring the plug-in correctly:

Acrobat Reader 4.x: configure Reader to not use the plug-in module by unchecking “Web Browser Integration” under File/Preferences/General (Netscape Navigator).

Acrobat Reader 5.x: configure Reader to not use the plug-in module by unchecking “Display PDF in browser” under Edit/Preferences/Options.

Sometimes, reinstalling the Acrobat Reader software will correct the problem as well.
