Ralf Miller, Colonel USAF (retired)
Director

Ralf Miller is a highly decorated combat veteran who served one combat tour flying O-1s in Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller (FAC) for Project Delta, 5th Special Forces Group (Abn).  For 524 combat missions he was awarded the Silver Star, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, Bronze Star for Valor, nineteen Air Medals and numerous other medals for valor.  He is one of very few Air Force officers entitled to wear the US Army’s coveted Combat Infantryman’s Badge.  He flew over 7,000 hours in 19 different aircraft ranging from the O-1 to the B-52 through the difficult years of the Cold War.

Miller holds a BS in nuclear physics and mathematics and is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and the Naval War College.  He served at HQ USAF, The Pentagon, as Executive Officer to the Asst Vice Chief of Staff, USAF and as the Commander, USAF Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio.

Following his military career Miller served with Morton Thiokol, Inc., as Program Manager of USAF rocket motor programs, Wash., DC.

Miller is a former treasurer and president of the Special Operations Association.

Miller is retired and resides in San Antonio, Texas.
